17th January 2025: Marta Miranda, Food & Beverage Supervisor at The Green, O’Callaghan Collection has been announced as the 2024/2025 Irish Hotels Federation (IHF) Dublin Branch ‘Employee of the Year’.
The announcement was made at an awards reception in the Aloft Dublin City Hotel, where guests gathered to celebrate and recognise 29 nominees from hotels and guesthouses across Dublin who made an outstanding contribution to their workplace.
IHF Dublin Branch Chair, Jonas Treffers said “As Chair of the IHF Dublin Branch, I’m proud to celebrate the people who are the heart of our city’s hospitality. This award honours those ‘Shaping Brighter Futures’ and the Dublin hotels leading the way in fostering talent through innovation and dedication.”
At the event, IHF CEO Paul Gallagher spoke about the importance of recognising today’s nominees for their fantastic contribution to our industry, noting that people are key to the success of our sector and that this does not come about by accident. Every day, thousands of talented and passionate people strive to make Irish tourism a success, ensuring our visitors feel welcome and creating lasting and truly memorable experiences for our guests.
Prior to working at the O’Callaghan Collection, Marta worked in a number of premium vacation locations throughout Europe including Lapland and Zakynthos, where she honed her customer service skills in a range of five-star properties. On joining the O’Callaghan Collection, Marta worked as a receptionist. Marta was selected by The O’Callaghan Collection as their first Operations Trainee Manager with a tailored trainee programme created by the hotel to encourage her development. Marta’s colleagues say that “Marta takes every opportunity to make guests feel special.” The O’Callaghan Collection looks forward to Marta becoming their next Operations Manager at the end of the trainee programme.
