Emma Reilly, Sales Co-ordinator at Castle Leslie Estate, has been announced as the 24/25 Irish Hotels Federation (IHF) Mourne Boyne Lakes Branch ‘Employee of the Year’.
The announcement was made at an awards lunch in the Headfort Arms Hotel, where guests gathered to celebrate and recognise eight nominees from hotels and guesthouses across counties Cavan, Louth, Meath and Monaghan who have made an outstanding contribution to their workplace.
Congratulating Emma on the award IHF branch representative John O’Neill said that, when selecting her as the winner, the judges highlighted Emma’s dedication to sales, problem-solving abilities and skills at anticipating and understanding customer needs.
Emma Reilly began working as a Food and Beverage Assistant before moving into the role as receptionist at The Glencarn Hotel. Following a period in America, Emma returned to hospitality as Sales Co-ordinator at Castle Leslie Estate, where she has worked for the last two years. Colleagues say that ‘’she not only uplifts their spirits, but also contributes to a positive workplace culture.’’
The IHF Mourne Boyne Lakes Branch extends its gratitude to the expert judging panel comprised of Matt O’Connor (IHF Vice President) and Stephen McNally (Past IHF President) who had the difficult job of selecting a winner from the nominees.
The members of the IHF Mourne Boyne Lakes Branch wish Emma the very best of luck as she goes on to represent them at the upcoming National IHF Employee of the Year Awards which will be held during the IHF’s Annual Conference at the Gleneagle Hotel, Killarney in late February.
