The Armada Hotel Spanish Point Clare hosted the A.G.M for the Irish Accommodation Services Institute last weekend. The Armada Hotel is home to the current IASI President, Marian Murnane, who is a part of the team for over 20 years. The Director John Burke and his team put together a lavish event that celebrated all things West Clare while embracing the vibrant Wild Atlantic Way landscape. The event welcomed members and corporate members from all over Ireland.
The proceedings took place with formalities from the registration of delegates, the Presidential address and adding new members to council. An exhibition was held that afternoon, where the corporate members networked with all attendees. The exhibition paraded the best of professional supplies and services the corporate members had to offer the industry.
The conference delved into the topic of this year’s theme of “Striving for Excellence”. The speakers included Mary Hall (Hallmark Training), Isobel Browne (Armada Hotel), Fiona Dunne (Hospitality Skillnet) and Daragh Fleming (Author and Mental Health Advocate). The speakers enlighten attendees with tools to strive of success, keys of green hospitality and importance of self-awareness in effort to be the best version of oneself.
All members in the association earned an award for their efforts in maintaining a high level of cleanliness and overall hygiene standards. New to the awards line up was a Green Hospitality Award and an Accommodation Assistant of the year award.
